Cultural Diversity through Artefacts
Our workshop was a great challenge to all of us. One of the reasons is that our team consists of members from different countries: Dainora from Lithuania (lecturer), Laura (Lithuania), Eva (Czech Republic), Hassan (Tanzania), Ditta (Hungary), David (Spain), Paulo (Portugal). One of the main activities was to find out about different artifacts (eg. cultural, natural, sonic, digital and other) in the suburbs of Palanga, a town, located in the west of Lithuania.
The aim of our workshop was to try to get closer to our cultures, getting to know them through artifacts that become a media of communication and reveal differences and similarities among cultures and countries. During the workshop it was very important to work with open minds due to multiple nationalities and entirely different backgrounds. |
This workshop explores the dimensions of critical thinking and creative thinking and the reasons for their importance in entrepreneurial environments. Are these concepts universal or do they have a Western connotation attached to them? The workshop also explores the underpinning ideas of entrepreneurship and uses mini-case studies to ground the concepts of critical and creative thinking in an entrepreneurial environment. It examined the skills and competences needed to be a successful entrepreneur in multicultural environments. |

Interview with Leader - Serge Koukpaki
During the interview the leader of the workshop- Serge Koukpaki presented his expectations of this workshop. He stated that four expectations have a significant impact on this workshop. First develop abilities to critically engage with the topic. Second develop the student’s mind. Third work hard in a limited time. The last expectation of Serge is to learn also from the students because they are all from different countries, different cultures and they all have different backgrounds. According to Serge, students of this workshop are very interesting, funny and hard-working. He is not worried about the communication between each participant of this workshop. In spite of language difficulties the students cooperate very well and they don’t have any problems to collaborate. |

What do you think about the project?
It is a very intensive project it will help to improve my personal skills. I will miss the other nationalities because we grow together during these two weeks. What are your feelings about Lithuania? I think I will come back in the future I will recommend this country as a holiday resort. I really like Lithuania because it reminds me of my home county. |
What is your opinion about your workshop?
I really like my workshop because my team members are very cooperative and we have interesting activities and tasks. You need some creativity as well because sometimes we have to draw or solve problems just an e.g. just like while playing the game diversophy. Our teacher Reka is good leader we have no boring moments at all. |
