Starting a new weekWe had prepared presentations about the Ninth Fort which we visited on Thursday. Each group delivered the same topic through different angles, thus the presentations led to many discussions. Unfortunately, we realised that genocide is still present, especially in the less developed countries, although its form has changed to indirect form. Nowadays psychological and economical abuse are the most common forms of violating people. After lunch teachers introduced us to the workshops and we set goals for the upcoming week.
When our workshops were finished, the social program started and was followed by a party in the green room (the best place), it was nice and funny. The teacher Jovita taught us several dances and games which were and still remain highly popular. To keep the multicultural atmosphere she also taught us the Greek dance 'Sirtaki' and a traditional Jewish dance.

Is coaching for everyone? The second day in Palanga began with a lecture held by Anne Fox with the title „How to coach in an interdisciplinary and global world”. The difficulties of being a good coach were represented during a roleplay, people had to work in groups of three: one coach, one coachee and one observer whose task was to take notes about the conversation between the coach and the coachee. We were introduced to the four step process of international coaching as well. The main aim of the presentation could be summarized as that everyone has to be aware of the fact, that our worldview generally affects how we see other people. Furthermore, in order to be a good coach, we have to get rid of stereotypes and expand our perception about other cultures and countries.
